Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc. has been authorized to manage the sale of 40 acres, more or less, in Hempstead County, Arkansas (see attached maps).
Location: The Blevins 40 Tract is located approximately three (3) miles east of Blevins and is described as the SE of SE, Section 14, Township 10 South, Range 24 West, containing a total of 40 acres, more or less, Hempstead County, Arkansas.
Tract Description: The Blevins 40 Tract contains 26-year-old pine plantation (thinned in 2003), with native hardwood around a branch of Marlbrook Creek. Terrain is gently rolling, with loblolly pine site index averaging 86 feet at base age of 50 years. Soils consist of Saffell gravelly fine sandy loams and Smithton fine sandy loams. Access is excellent with one-quarter-mile frontage on gravel County Road 256 along east line of the tract. Electricity is available at county road. The southwest corner of the tract contains a small pond. Tract offers potential for home site and forest recreation, in addition to timberland investment.
Merchantable Timber: Kingwood Forestry Services conducted an inventory (one point/acre) in December of 2014. Based on the Kingwood inventory, estimated tree counts and volumes are as follows:

Method of Sale: The tract will be sold on the basis of lump sum sealed bids. Bids will be opened at the Kingwood Forestry office at 3:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2015, at #4 Executive Circle, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Mailed offers should be addressed to Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc., P.O. Box 65, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 with "Blevins 40 Land Sale" clearly marked in the lower left corner of the envelope to protect security of the offer. An offer form is attached. On mailed offers please call our office prior to bid opening to confirm receipt of offer. Buyers submitting offers are welcome to attend the bid opening. Offers may be delivered by fax to 8702463341. All faxed offers will be immediately acknowledged. Please await confirmation that your faxed offer has been received. No verbal telephone offers will be accepted.
