The ranch has a wonderful cover of hardwoods primarily live oaks with some red and post oaks and elms. In most areas the cedar (ashe juniper) level is minimal. A forty acre field on the east side of the ranch has some improved grasses and is used for hay production. At the west end and flowing into the river is an attractive canyon with some impressive heart cedars as well as an intermittent spring/creek and fern grotto. The river front can be reached at the northwest corner of the ranch. Huge boulders and giant bald cypress line this picturesque section of the river, which features deep pools and shallow riffles. Located on the high bank side of the river, there are several incredible homesites overlooking the river and well out of any flood danger.
