The 3,350+/- feet of live-water frontage on the San Saba has extensive stretches with great depth, and the river frontage has diversity with both rapids and long pools. This is an appealing waterway for kayaking and fishing as well as floating and swimming. The flow is strong, and this is one of the best water features in all of the Texas Hill Country, providing seclusion and privacy. Bass fishing and catfish are prolific and waterfowl hunting can be strong at times as well. The deep pockets allow for great fishing while the rapids are perfect for relaxing in your lawn chair with the cool water running over your feet.

Along with the river there are a couple ponds and a water well.

TOPOGRAPHY:

Varied and rolling Hill Country topography with views and appealing terrain. The higher elevation areas have live oaks as well as some cedar and mesquite cover and there are ridges that provide scenic views overlooking the river bottom area and beyond to the North, East and West. The Northern portion of the property is loaded with huge pecans, live oaks, post oaks, and elm trees and truly feels like a park this property has some of the most amazing hardwood bottoms you will ever come across.

VEGETATION:

Large native trees & diverse brush abound along with native grasses and some productive bottom land that could be planted in food plots or improved grass. Native grasses are strong, and the property has productive soils, especially on the Northern half.

WILDLIFE:

San Saba Waters is loaded with wildlife. Free range Axis deer have become plentiful as well as Whitetail deer, turkeys, dove, ducks, and a few pigs as well. Waterfowl hunting on the river can be excellent as well.

LOCATION:

The range is located approximately 25 miles from Mason on Hwy 29 and about 10 miles East of Menard. The ranch has great access, with a little over 2,700 feet of frontage on Hwy 29. It is a little over 2 hours from Austin, and 2 hours from San Antonio as well as 2 hr 40 minutes from Midland.
