The historical marker and barn mark the sight where the Butterfield Trail mail runners made a stop to rest the horses. Because of its historical significance the owner has left it standing.
There are 5 ponds (all stocked with fish), in addition to the 22 acre lake, on the property. The hay meadow produces 250 round bales per cutting. The owner says he gets 2 cuttings most years.
There is a gas pipeline and an old gas well on the NE corner of the 100 acres on the South side of Wesley Road.
There is a 40' x 60 Mueller metal shop building with a concrete floor.
