The JR #22 tract (Listing #4248) will be offered by lump sum sealed bid on Friday, May 13, 2011, at 3:00pm. Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc. has been authorized by The Ross Foundation to manage the sale of two outstanding tracts of managed timberland containing 40 + 40 acres, more or less, in Clark County, Arkansas. Bids may be submitted for either or both tracts.
Tract Descriptions: Both tracts have been owned and managed by The Ross Foundation for many years and are outstanding timberland properties. The RF #48 tract is located approximately three miles southwest of Gurdon and is described as SW of NE , Section 1, Township 10 South, Range 21 West, containing 40 acres, more or less. JR #22 tract is located approximately six miles south of Gurdon and is described as NW of NE , Section 29, Township 10 South, Range 20 West, containing 40 acres, more or less.

RF #48 (Listing #4247): Timber consists of high quality mature pine sawtimber. Terrain is flat to gently rolling. Pine site index averages 90 feet (base age 50) on silt loams and silty clay loams. Access is via pipeline. Pine sawtimber averages 395 BF / tree (based on Kingwood inventory).
Merchantable Timber: Based on the inventory conducted by Kingwood Forestry Services in April, 2011, estimated tree counts and volumes are as follows:
Pine Sawtimber: 895 Trees, 353,400 Board Feet, 2,256 Tons
Hardwood Pulpwood: 123 Trees, 5 Cords, 16 Tons
JR #22 (Listing #4248): Timber consists of high quality mature pine sawtimber. Access to tract is via woods roads and pipeline. Terrain is flat to gently rolling. Pine site index averages 85 feet (base age 50) on fine sandy loams. Pine sawtimber averages 322 BF / tree (based on Kingwood inventory).
Merchantable Timber: Based on the inventory conducted by Kingwood Forestry Services in April, 2011, estimated tree counts and volumes are as follows:
Pine Sawtimber: 400 Trees, 128,900 Board Feet, 868 Tons
Hardwood Pulpwood: 100 Trees, 9 Cords, 28 Tons
Kingwood performed 10% fixed radius line plot cruises (one plot / acre) on both tracts in April, 2011. On RF #48 tract, cruise lines ran east and west; on JR #22, cruise lines ran north and south. Due to variations associated with sampling, utilization standards, and scaling practices, the above tree counts and timber volumes advertised in this notice cannot be guaranteed.
