There is an off-grid 20 foot x 20 foot hunting cabin that the present owner constructed in 1982 and lived in for about a 3 year period. The cabin has a wood fireplace that was used for a heat source and there is a drilled and cased water well with 110 volt submersible pump that was used to supply water. Propane was purchased from town and used to power a refrigerator and cook stove.
The cabin sits in the middle of the 40 acres and is located next to a spring fed mountain creek that runs almost year round according to the owner. The relaxing sound of water flowing down the creek can be heard from the cabin porch.
