The balance of the ranch is in native pasture, filled with hackberry trees, plum thickets, chinaberry groves, mesquite brush, and a few scattered cottonwoods and elm trees. The Rockhouse Ranch is unique in that it is where Buck Creek merges with the North Wichita River.
