The Mission Valley is EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL and one of a kind. Our area is often referred to as the "Swiss Alps of Montana!" Northern lights/Aurora Borealis can be seen a few times a year! The Mission Valley is located on the beautiful Salish & Kootenai Indian Reservation in Northwest Montana, surrounded by the towering Mission Mountains and home to the famous Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi! The MV has a wonderful Rocky Mountain country setting with amazing views of Mission Mountains & valley sunsets. Also home to the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas! Wildlife frequently seen in the area includes: deer, pheasant, grizzly & black bear, elk, coyote, fox, wolf, MT lion, buffalo, MT sheep, MT goat, & more. A wonderful mix of diverse cultures can be found in the valley.
