The predominant grass cover on BCR includes desirable grasses such as Indian grass, Side Oats Gamma, Fall Switch grass, Green Springle Top, KR Bluestem and needle grass, scattered mostly along the ridge tops and canyon floor.
HUNTING:
Primary game animals are white-tailed deer, aoudad, blackbuck antelope, axis deer and turkey.
COMMENT:
The Bushwhack Canyon Ranch is located in the southern edge of the Balcones Escarpment, a giant geologic upheaval, which created this beautiful mountainous country. The BCR is rough mountain country with scenic views of limestone cliffs, deep wide canyons, and tree covered mountain tops. There are two access easements to the east part of the ranch from the county road through Leakey Hills Unit 2 Subdivision.
