The beautiful ranch style home sits at the bend of the river on the west bank of the crystal clear Nueces River. The unique home is furnished with a rustic mix of Texas and Africa decor. The interior of the home includes two large bedrooms, master bedroom, three baths, an open living and dining area, with two large bedroom/studio lofts. The two separate unconnected lofts located upstairs is a great hang-out and sleeping area for teenagers or guests. The interior walls and ceiling are lined with ponderosa pine. The floor area is covered with Italian tile or pine wood. The island kitchen is well organized and easily accessed to the dining area. The home has double panel windows, big pantry with plenty of closet and storage space. A welcoming fireplace with mesquite mantel is located along the south wall of the living and dining area.

WATER: The highlight of the ranch is one-half mile of Nueces River front. The river depth varies from shallow water to deep blue swimming holes. The river flows over limestone rock bottom that reflects a turquoise color. It is not unusual to see catfish, bass and perch swimming along the river. From the high bluff on the southeast corner the view of the river is a sight to remember.
French Creek flows along the northeast boundary. The creek is spring fed and flows into the Nueces River at the bend of the river.
There are three water wells equipped with submersible pumps. Water on the ranch is distributed to three tub troughs and two ponds.
TERRAIN & VEGETATION: The ranch is located in the transition zone between South Texas Plains and the scenic Texas Hill Country. The low rolling hills have numerous limestone outcroppings covered with guajillo, black brush, live oak thickets and persimmon.
The lower elevations are covered with large live oak, elm and mesquite trees along the water shed of French Creek. The primary brush cover is agarita, white brush, and purple sage. The deep rich soil supports a variety of desirable grasses. Side oats gramma, red gramma, curly mesquite, falls switch grass, drop seed grass, green sprangletop, and waist high KR Bluestem grows along the French Creek water shed.
There are two one room caves and Indian campgrounds on the ranch.
HUNTING: The hunting has been well managed over the years. Two package hunts are booked each hunting season. The owner estimates there are forty whitetail deer, twelve axis deer, six fallow deer, javelina and numerous wild turkeys on the ranch. On the river side of the high fence the owners have seen free roaming aoudad, axis, pigs, elk, red deer and whitetail. Small varmints include ringtail cats, raccoon, grey fox, and an occasional bobcat.
METHOD OF SALE: The Buffalo Nickel Ranch sells turn-key including all furniture, machinery, tools and ranch equipment. A list of personal items to be removed from the home is available. All mineral interest owned and all executive rights owned will be conveyed to the new owner. All water rights will be conveyed.
