Bird Creek West is located in northwest Lee County with a 10.2 mile drive from the intersection of County Rd 72 (Farmville Road) and Highway 280. This property has 1.1 miles of frontage on County Road 70 which is a paved road with electric service and public water is not available. This tract has long been used for commercial timber production. Almost half of the property (150 acres) was planted with genetically-improved loblolly pine in January 1997, another 60 acres was planted in January 2021 and another 47 acres of thinned pine plantation is now 22 years-old. About ±55 acres of hardwood exists along streams and bottom land. A branch of Bird Creek passes through the property and there are a few small tributaries on the property that drain into Bird Creek.
