General: The ranch is located on a plateau providing gently rolling hillsides and very usable land and excellent building sites. Large Oak trees are found everywhere with some Pinion Pine trees and some very majestic, old growth cedar that add aesthetic values or they can be useful for home construction. There are many good creek drainages throughout the ranch that provides great cover and a wide variety of vegetation. There is a landowners association in place and it is provided for the benefit for all of the ranch owners. The dues are $3.00 per acre per year (approximately $300 per ranch per year) and the dues paid will go towards the maintenance for the subdivision roads, the water system for when repairs are needed, and a wildlife biologist to be available year round for personal and private consultation with regards to wildlife and habitat management. The biologist will complete game surveys annually to ensure the management decisions are sound. The biologist will also be involved with keeping the ranch under a 1-D-1 Wildlife Exemption and agricultural tax status.
Improvements: Newly built all weather roads will make each ranch very accessible even in adverse weather. Electricity will be available to each ranch and there is landline telephone service already in place next to the ranch.
Water: There are several active water wells in place and a central water system will be installed that will make water available for each ranch, plus each ranch will be provided a 500 gallon black poly water storage container.
Wildlife: There is a lot of game at the Silver Horn ranch. White-tailed deer, Wild Turkey, Wild Boar, and Axis deer are the primary game species found. At times there should be some other free ranging species spotted given that the entire ranch is low fenced and there is about a 66,000 acre neighbor that does not allow hunting on his ranch. Game is abundant!
Price: 300-500ac., 1,000 ac., and 2,000 ac. tracts are available for $1,095-$1,295 depending on size and features.
Comments: If you are looking for a great recreational ranch to get away from it all, then the Silver Horn is for you. Available in 300-500 acres, 1000 acres, and 2,000 acres tracts, the right size is available to meet your needs. Gorgeous rolling hills, abundant Oak trees, and the occasional Pinion Pine provide a variety in the landscape that will take your breath away. And to ensure the quality of whitetail, a professional biologist works with landowners to develop and preserve the herd. With 1-D-1 tax exemption, electricity, internal water system to each ranch, and all weather road access, the Silver Horn sets itself apart as a quality wildlife ranch.
