Originally an L-shaped, one-story, Greek Revival clapboard house on high brick foundations, having two porticoes of the Doric order and fine architectural details both inside and out, the house was taken in two sections from a wooded area near Pleasant Ridge to its present site and has been carefully restored with the foundations re-built of handmade bricks following the original design. The house was enlarged around a courtyard at the rear.
The house was originally built in 1835 and moved to its current location around 1979. An addition was added to include a kitchen and den area along with a large back deck (16? x 38?). The small detached apartment studio has 640 sq. ft. with a full bath and kitchen. This structure was built in 1997 and has a unique style.
