The property has been used as a surface mining operation and is under a bond obligation with the State of Georgia, Department of Natural Resources, and Environmental Protection Division. This is standard procedure for any mining permits and is used to insure that any pit areas will be sloped and grassed to state requirements. Banks of pit areas need to be sloped to a 3:1 slope and grassed. A minimum of one growing season to stabilize banks or until it meets the States visual inspection of the property.
