This ranch is all virgin native brush. There is not an area on the ranch that has re-growth. This is extremely hard to find. The native brush offers wildlife the perfect browse and nutrition, along with the protein feed to develop a solid stream of trophy class whitetail. The low fenced area along the creek is loaded with game and will give guest and family freedom to enjoy hunting without affecting the herd inside the high fence. The ranch is currently under an MLP and this could be continued with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The ranch currently has a buck to doe ratio of approximately 1 to 1. The population of bucks and does is approximately 80 adult whitetail at this time excluding the current year fawn crop. The ranch has consistently produced trophy class deer there are a number of 170 + class deer currently on the ranch. Turkey are abundant and the owner has maintained a herd of javelina on the property. There are no hogs within the high fenced area, however there is an abundance of hogs along the low fenced creek region. Out in the low fenced area one of the corporate blinds is placed near a large hog trap that has a trap door that can be released (shut) by a trigger mechanism in the blind. Wait until the hogs get inside and then pull the trigger wire.
The two ponds are stocked with Blue cat catfish and the fishing is excellent. Turkey populations in this are very high and they are abundant on this ranch. The turkey hunting opportunities and excellent both inside the high fence and along La Parita Creek.
There are two food plots on the ranch that are approximately 2.7 acres and 2.9 acres in size and have a blind and feeder in each. The owner has planted both wheat and oats over the years.
The owner has collected a number of arrow heads on the ranch and the propety offers a great opportunity to hunt for arrow heads and Indian artifacts.
This ranch offers year round activity in a very quiet and peacefull area.
