The Purgatory Mountain tract is a 2057 acre timberland tract located just north of Roanoke in Botetourt County with easy access from I-81. Cartmill Gap is a major feature of the property. An ancient trail used by Native Americans crosses Cartmill Gap, This timberland tract has several access points and has a good interior network of all-weather roads. The tract supports stands on mixed Appalachian hardwoods. A major feature of the tract is a beautiful and secluded mountain top meadow. Several small streams are found on the property. Wildlife species include deer, turkey, bear and other small game species.
