There are a lot of amenities on this property that make it very appealing to the avid outdoorsman. First, there is a lot of room to roam on the property. The property is bordered on the west and southwest by Potlatch Corp land. It is bordered on the south by 320 acres of State land, and there is more Potlatch land to the east and northeast. There is a very nice system of well-maintained trails centrally located on the property and with a bridge over Stoney Creek, you have great access to most of the property. Stoney Creek runs along the northern portion of the property and provides additional habitat for ducks and geese and water for all the other critters on the property. The creek bottom meanders over 1.5 miles, providing great hunting opportunities for whitetail deer and grouse. The property is mostly raw, undeveloped land, that has been hunted modestly over the last several years. There is a nice mix of high ground and low ground, mature trees, young trees, grass and brush, and, of course, the creek bottom. There are several places that would be ideal to build a house or a cabin. The property has a few food plot areas that have been developed. Some freshly planted food in those areas and/or some new strategically placed food plots would help draw in the whitetails. You could definitely grow and hold a population of whitetails on and around this land. Food plots on the edges of the creek and toward the middle of the property would help you develop and maintain whitetails in your area. This area is know for its whitetail deer hunting and this property has a lot of potential to become whitetail magnet. A lot of the outer edges of the property are unexplored with very few trails or stands in place allowing you to add new trails and find new stand locations. Only 25 minutes to Hibbing and a lot of area lakes. Close to Duluth and Lake Superior, and close to many trails for snowmobiling or 4-wheeling.
