This Pawnee County quarter section is definitely versatile, from the rolling terrain to the high ridge rock outcroppings and Bermuda river bottoms. The bend in Black Bear Creek that snakes along the west side looks more like a river. There is almost 100' of elevation change from the northeast to southwest and the varied timber includes oak, elm, hickory, and walnut. Native grasses on the east side give way to Bermuda grass on the west side. The remains of a turn of the century house where some early settlers probably carried their daily water up from Black Bear Creek sets on the south end of the property.
You can keep 18 to 20 momma cows fat and happy on this farm. The ponds provide ample water for both livestock and wildlife. Bottom areas on both sides of the creek could be tilled and planted in crops or used for food plots. Plus, the fencing is more than adequate for your herd.

The whitetail deer hunting in this county is amazing, having produced the current state record. The current owner has harvested some incredible bucks as evidenced by the photos. If you chose to focus on hunting only, the upside with more management is limitless. While taking pictures of the property I encountered a flock of 12 tom turkeys and this area is well-known for wild hogs. The hunting is enhanced by the property being near the end of the road with no houses past the gate.
