Another, much larger tank is just south of this tank; this one needs to some work done to it, as it leaks water. A solar-powered water well was recently added to the property, and a line was ran to this large tank. Once it is packed, it would make a good stock pond for bass and catfish.
The variance of tall timber along the creek and open pasture to the south allows for both bow and rifle hunting. Whitetail are dominant in this area, but mule deer have been seen around as well. The Winding Creek Ranch is bordered on the south by a 550 acre Rio Grande turkey reserve, and turkeys routinely take cover in the shade of the tree groves along the ranch's south border. Other wildlife present on the property include wild hog and bobwhite quail.
Improvements consist of excellent perimeter fences and 1/2 mile of public road frontage on the north border. There are two new gated entrances at this road, which is the only way to access the ranch. Electricity is available at the road too.
