160 ac Fertile Farm Land
This farm is just a few miles south of the city of Port Lavaca. It has paved frontage on Cox Road just north of Hwy 316. The land is 100% farmland and 65 acres of it is a Jiggs Bermuda Grass field that is utilized for hay production. Jiggs Grass is very productive and proven to perform better on slower draining soils in areas with more rain fall such as the Gulf Coast.
The remainder of the property is cultivated farmland. Currently the 95 acres is being leased for dryland corn.
Although the farm does not have a water well at this time, it does have an extension of the GBRA Canal from the adjoining 1000 acres owned by the Navigation District.
