155 Acre Bicentennial Farm in Cherokee County

History abounds on this 18th Century farm located on Highway 221 in southern Cherokee County. Since the day King George deeded this property to Adam Goudelock, it has remained in the same family for over 230 years. The two-story colonial home, built at the turn of the 19th century by Major Elijah Davis, still stands on the property. Four white columns made from thick tree trunks, smoothed over the years by age, support the grand veranda. The original Goudelock log home stands as well just a few feet away.

The acreage is made up of fescue pastures, mature loblolly pines, and a variety of hardwood species. Gault Creek runs the entire length of the western property boundary. A small pond sits hidden just south of the main house.
