Tract #208 will be sold by lump sum sealed bid on Thursday, August 14, 2008. Tract is located three miles south of Willisville. Terrain is gently rolling. Access is excellent with County Road 6 providing approximately one eighth mile of frontage along south line. Timber was harvested (except for 14 acre SMZ) in 2004, chemically site-prepped and burned in 2005, then planted in 2006 with 2nd Generation Atlantic Coast Weyerhaeuser seedlings. In addition to the well-stocked pine plantation, the tract offers excellent hunting/wildlife viewing opportunities. Soils consist of loamy sand and sandy loams with site index for loblolly pine averaging 85 feet on fifty year base.
