Rare Historical home with Texas Marker on 118+ acres. Home has been in family since approximately 1875. House originally built about 1875 of materials available in the area. Foundation was of rock piers and cedar log beams 24 in diameter. Floor joists were of 10 x 12 logs. All plates and joists are cedar logs that are mortised and doweled. Rafters were of 26 foot cedar logs. Original outside wall covering of cypress clapboard was replaced during later restoration with specially milled pine.
