This facility is located on Spur 194 southwest of Fort Stockton, Texas within one mile if Interstate 10. It is situated on open terrain with 67.65 owned acres and approximately 33 acres leased from the railroad and University. It has approximately 1,606 feet of railroad frontage. The site is served by four wells for its water supply with three 50,000 gallon and one 20,000 gallon storage tanks. The facility has 70' truck scales with a certified capacity of 100,000 lbs. The mill was built in 1958 and updated in the mid 80's with additional updating in the years since then. The mill has a capacity of 100 tons of finished feed per day.

The newer pens located on the north side of Spur 194 are all pipe and sucker rod construction with concrete pads in the feeding areas and have either steel or concrete feed bunks. All pens have ample water supply. There is a working and load out area with scale house and scale.
The south side of Spur 194 contains the older pens, most of which are the same construction as the north side. This side also hasa working and load out area, scale house and scale. The total capacity permitted is 15,000 head.
Also, on the north side of Spur 194 is a prefab metal building which has served as a retail store for feed and other ranch supplies. This building covers 6,250 sq. ft. The office and store area has approximatley 1,050 sq. ft. with the remainder utilized for feed storage and warehouse. There is a dock-high loading/unloading facility on the building. At present the store is closed but when operatingit consistently made a substantial profit each year.
The railroad has been purchased by the State of Texas and leased to Mexico. It runs from the Pacific Ocean through Mexico and connects with major lines in Texas. At the present time, work crews are replacing rails, crossties and road bed to withstand higher speeds and multiple cars. Railroad officials say that the original siding can be replaced. The completion of rail repairs and the replacement of the siding would provide many opportunities fro new business activities.
