Most of the wells were drilled to a layer of blue clay at a depth of approximately 220 to 250 and produce an average of 125 to 150 gpm which is readily sustained throughout the pumping season. The two newest wells were drilled on Section 163 in March, 2013 through the blue clay layer to a red clay layer (red bed) at a depth of approximately 390. One was setup to pump 250 gpm and the other for 400 gpm which they did throughout the season.
The predominate soil type is a fine sand with some areas having a sandy loam soil. The primary crops produced have been cotton and peanuts with some production of corn silage and wheat.
Section 121. This section has a -mile, 93 Valley center pivot nozzled at 1000 gpm and supplied by 8 wells watering 420 acres (it makes less of a full circle because of the home and barn). Three of the corners are enrolled in CRP through 2021 for a total annual payment of $3,199.
Section 164. This section has a -mile, 98 Valley center pivot nozzled at 1200 gpm and supplied by 8 wells. Three of the corners are enrolled in CRP through 2021 for a total annual payment of $3,091.
Section 163. This section has a -mile, 98 Valley center pivot nozzled for 600 gpm in its southeast corner and a 3/8-mile, 89 Valley center pivot nozzled for 750 gpm that has its pivot point near the center of the section and windshield wipes a circle containing approximately 225 acres. Both pivots can be operated at the same time by water produced from the 6 wells on this section. There is a 20-acre tract in the southeast quarter (part of which is within the pivot circle) that belongs to a neighbor but is farmed by the owner.
This is an excellent, highly productive farm that merits your consideration!
