The middle well is a windmill that pumps into a concrete pila that then provides water into the ranch. The back water well was a windmill that was converted to an electric pump powered by solar panel. This well flows into an adjacent earthen tank that is stocked with blue catfish and bait fish. Some of these blue cats are over 10 pounds in size and can be a lot of fun to catch! Overall there are 5 water troughs dispersed through the ranch for wildlife watering stations.
Vegetation: This area of Texas is considered to be a transition area between the Texas Hill Country and South Texas so there is a considerable amount of diversity with this ranch. The western 2/3rds of the ranch is most characteristic of the beautiful Texas Hill Country with beautiful views, rolling topographies, large oak Motts and outstanding cover for the wildlife. The eastern portion of the Triple T Ranch is most characteristic of south Texas with deeper soils, Mesquite trees and diversified brush.
Wildlife: The Triple T Ranch has tons of game offering year round hunting opportunities. The native game includes White-tailed deer, wild boar, and great dove hunting. The non-native game is equally if not more impressive with large herds of free roaming Axis deer and Blackbuck antelope. It is not uncommon to see 20-30 axis deer, 10-15 Blackbuck, and 5-10 White-tails out feeding together at one time in the same area. There is some high game fence on a portion of the north side of the ranch but most of the ranch is low fenced and because of the year round feed and water, exceptional cover, and very light hunting pressure, the Triple T Ranch is able to hold strong populations of wildlife.
