Terrain: This ranch is naturally blessed with several large canyons, providing abundant cover for the area's wide array of wildlife, with 120' to 140' elevation changes from top to bottom of the canyons. The large Goldsten's Canyon runs along the east side of the ranch, providing excellent views toward the Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos River, and the larger Impossible Canyon runs along the west boundary, with unbelievable views of Scurry and Kent Counties, with several smaller canyons carving their way out into the midsection of the property.
The mesquite flats area of the ranch boasts thick mesquite with improved grasses through the pastures, and now includes several "strips" of 100' wide clearings, surrounded on each side by 200' wide strips of native pasture. The cleared strips are planted with a perennial mix of grasses and grains that are favorites of the area's wildlife population, providing ample forage next to terrific cover. It's the perfect setup for deer and quail hunting!
Access: Paved roads take you most of the way to the ranch, with only 4 miles of all-weather Scurry County gravel roads to get to the ranch entrance on the east side of the property.
Once on the ranch, improved roads crisscross the property in between, around and through many of the smaller canyons, with all areas of the ranch easily accessible in full-size vehicles.
Bring you ATV's if you want to play, but they're not required to get around on this beautiful ranch!
