The Morgan Ranch is situated along the southern edge of the Edwards Plateau. The land has rugged hills, deep draws, and limestone outcroppings. The rugged beauty of this ranch makes it seem much larger than its 1,239 acres. Interior ranch roads make the ranch accessible for hunting and hiking.
The ranchs typical Texas Hill Country rolling hills are scattered with whitebrush and other high protein vegetation typical of South Texas. Live oak, shin oak, mountain laurel, persimmon, some cedar and native grasses dot the countryside as well. Elevations vary from 1,836 feet to 2,375 feet.
There is an abundance of white-tailed deer and turkey. Small varmints include raccoon, fox, and ring-tail cats. There has not been any commercial hunting on the ranch for the past three years.
Low net wire fence encloses three sides of property. A new game fence has been constructed along the highway.
