This is your chance to shoot a lot of ducks at an affordable cost along the Illinois River! Being a member of the Split Rock Rod & Gun Club gives you access to hunt over nearly 150 acres of water and flooded crops. The club has approximately a quarter of a mile of Illinois River frontage which they can pump water to flood the property if there is a dry year. In the morning, approximately an hour before shooting time, members are drawn for their choice of blind. With ten blinds situated throughout the property and only 19 members, there are typically only two hunters per blind. As a member, you are granted three guest days per season to bring whoever you want. Want to make lifelong memories with your children? There is no limit for the number of days you want to bring your child out, 16 years old and under. There is a clubhouse with lockers to conveniently store equipment on the property and hang out with other members following a hunt. There are approximately 60 acres of CRP on the south edge of the property which covers the annual taxes. There is a bi-annual assessment per member which generally falls between $400 and $500 for general maintenance, necessary repairs, etc. Along with the assessment, members are expected to put in assigned work hours to help brush in blinds and prepare the property for hunting season. Deer hunting should not be overlooked on this property either. Members receive free range of the entire property to hunt for deer and turkey. There have been several nice deer taken in previous years. This property also offers members a place to ride ATV’s and camp with their family throughout the summer months.
