The Ranch has approximately 2 miles of Quitaque creek running through the property. The canyon bottoms are not rough and unusable like most. They are full of grass and vegetation for cattle and wildlife and run water in the wet season.

Caprock Canyons Trailway:
A portion of the Caprock Canyons Trailways runs through the property. In the early 1920s, Burlington Northern constructed a railroad as part of the Fort Worth and Denver South Plains Railway which was regularly used between Lubbock and Estelline. The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy acquired the line in 1992 and converted the railway into a walking path for Caprock Canyon hikers, bikers, and horse riders. Today, the path is used by visitors. However, the trailway is fenced off and far enough away from entrance the current owner has not seen but a few trail runners.
