Recreational Property
In the U.S., millions of citizens own vacation property of one sort or another: cabins, beach houses, moored houseboats, fish camps, farms, and woodlands for camping. Many millions more take advantage of one of the largest holdings of parkland in the western world: millions of acres of state and federal parkland and forestland, along with wildlife preserves, protected shorelines and protected rivers and waterways.
Federal recreational opportunities include not just campgrounds at national parks, but historic buildings at National Historic Parks and National Historic Sites, and water activities at National Seashores.
Private recreational property is worth billions and billions of dollars. Recreational property is used for gentleman's farms, for herb, heirloom and exotic plant cultivation, for hunting and fishing and for camping or for second residences.
